Excitment for the month of MAY
The month of May will feature several special Sundays. First and foremost, don’t miss Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 11) at FCC. Bring your Mother, or that woman who has been like a mother…bring your children…or family or whomever! Come to remember, to celebrate, and to appreciate our Mothers. Rev. Ginger Brandt will be preaching in Contemporary, and Rev. Collin Taylor will be bringing the message in our Traditional Worship service with the help of our Youth, who will lead the various other elements of our Traditional Worship Service that day. Dr. Chris Pulliam will be in Fayetteville, Arkansas celebrating his daughter’s (Carol Ann) graduation from the University of Arkansas.
It’s true, we had hoped to have a combined worship service with our Youth leading, but the logistics are proving to be too much. We will have a combined worship service this Summer for Gospel and Country Music Sunday (date TBD).
Sunday, May 18, our Youth will lead the Contemporary Worship Service under the direction of Jaden Gorham. The youth invite you to come and join in worship with them … and to stick around after church for an All Church luncheon (picnic) that will begin around 11 a.m.
Backing up a bit, in Traditional Worship, Sunday, May 4 will be our annual Music Ministry Appreciation Sunday. We are so blessed to have so many gifted musicians who give of themselves to bring beautiful music to our worship. We are grateful for our Music Ministry Staff: Tricia Anderson, Cameron Rose, Elena Daughtery, and Laura Hedrick. Occasionally, we are blessed to have Jonathan Benedetti with us for Traditional Worship. He is our Praise Team Leader in Contemporary.
