Did you know that the simple act of donating your old eyeglasses can help change a life?

We’re excited to share that our church has partnered with the Lions Club for their Lions Recycle for Sight program. You’ll now find a donation basket in Disciples Hall where you can drop off any gently used eyeglasses — and we’ve just sent off our first shipment to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Midland, Texas!

From there, volunteers clean, sort, and prepare the glasses to be distributed to people in need around the world. These recycled glasses help children read, support adults in their work, and empower seniors to maintain independence. It’s a small gesture that leads to big impact.

So if you have a pair of glasses tucked away in a drawer or no longer the right prescription, bring them in! Every pair has the potential to bring clearer vision — and a brighter future — to someone in need.
