Bush Family Update

Dear FCC family,

Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for the love and consistent care you’ve shown our family in recent months, especially the last couple of weeks since our car accident.

Your thoughts, cards, visits, gifts, and prayers have been a blessing as we’ve been able to address our daily needs while figuring out what tomorrow might require.

Curtis needs to be immobile for many weeks and cannot put weight on his left leg for months. Curtis’ brother, an RN, has been most helpful in navigating proper care and medications.

Layering in his likely permanent hearing loss, persistent vertigo, and monitoring his irregular heartbeat while regaining mobility will be a challenge. So will finding our way through the financial implications of needed care, living expenses, and aid/disability eligibility.

Through it all, and whatever is on the horizon, thank you for being people of love and support when we’ve needed it the most.
