Disciples Coffee Project

The Disciples Women’s Ministries of First Christian Church, Tyler, has proudly supported the Disciples of Christ Coffee Project since 2013. If you purchase cups of coffee or tea at the Sunday Coffee Bar or coffee, tea and chocolate for the Holidays, you are supporting this important ministry that helps those in need locally, nationally and internationally.

Started in 2008, the Disciples of Christ Coffee Project is a collaboration between Equal Exchange, Disciples Home Missions, and Week of Compassion to involve more Disciples in supporting small farmers around the world. For each pound of fairly traded coffee, chocolate, and tea Disciples purchase through the Coffee Project, 15 cents per pound goes to the Project's Small Farmer Fund.

Disciples Women’s Ministries also receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of coffee, tea and chocolate to help fund its many ministries here at FCC, Tyler.

Order forms for organic, fair-trade coffee, tea, and chocolate for the holidays will be available at the DWM Coffee Bar in Disciples Hall on Sundays during October through November 15th. There will also be order forms at the Receptionist’s desk in the church office and at the Happy Holidays Arts and Craft Fair on November 7. If you have any questions, contact Kaye Kraus!
