January is Leadership Recognition Month
Did you know FCC is a “Congregationally led” church? What that means is, the ministers work in conjunction with the “Lay Leaders” of the church to bring about great ministry -- ultimate
decision making is the responsibility of the Board and Congregation, not the Sr. Minister alone. In a Congregationally led church, the leadership positions of Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Elders, Deacons, Ministry Team, and Committee members are of great importance. At FCC, we have been blessed with faithful leadership in 2025 and again in 2026.
On Sunday, Jan 11, we will take time in both worship services to recognize and appreciate our Elders and Deacons. We will have an Installation in both services that morning.
On Sunday, Jan 18, we will celebrate and appreciate our 4 new Elder Emeriti: Linda Dorsey, Nancy Grant, Ombra Hughes and Bob Orr.
Then, finally, on Sunday, January 25, we recognize and appreciate our Church Officers, and Board leadership from 2025 and going forward in 2026.
Join in these important Sundays, to say thank you to all these are have said “yes” to taking on God’s calling upon us as a congregation.
Your Friend and Pastor,
Chris Pulliam
